About the Muse
TW: Child Abandonment, Gun ViolencePenelope "Poppy" Falk is 25 years old and has lived from job to job and couch to couch since she was 15, after her mother kicked her out of the house because she was 'not normal' due to her having an unusual power that she liked to experiment with. After first leaving home, she struggled making ends meet and spent maybe nights out in the streets.
When Poppy reached her twenties, she met a guy called Joey. They had a wild romance and she moved into his trailer very quickly. He earned money selling drugs and promised her a house on the beach someday, but gambled away most of his earnings. Two years into the relationship, a friend of the couple’s and one of the people Joey owed money to emptied a magazine in his face in front of Poppy. She fled and continued running for a long time.
Since then, she‘s taken care of herself and depended on kind people helping out. She tries to live in the moment as much as possible as she doesn’t expect to live to a very old age.
Despite her rough and traumatic past, Poppy has a very fun, quirky and bubbly personality. She loves spontaneous plans that border on or pass the line of legality, gets in trouble with the cops constantly and makes friends with questionable people. Occasionally she takes a job, but never lasts long in any of them.
